U1.ca NAMES
U1 Names / Canada

Names define position.

A Canadian digital asset treasury and namespace architecture built around scarce identifiers, ordered sequences, and durable infrastructure naming.

U1.ca is the parent identity for premium domain holdings, the Sovereign Stack architecture, Namespace0 primitives, and selected operating platforms. The architecture is conceptual; the digital assets are real.

Parent identity

Three systems beneath one name.

U1.ca separates asset ownership, architectural definition, and commercial operation while keeping them legible as one coherent portfolio.

01

Digital Asset Treasury

Scarce short-form domains, category-defining names, ordered sequences, and Canadian geographic assets held for long-term strategic use.

02

Namespace Architecture

Sovereign Seven, Assurance Enclave, DNS control-plane identifiers, and the seven-layer Namespace0 primitive taxonomy.

03

Operating Platforms

DowntownDirectories.com, the Canadian downtown city portfolio, and selected category assets developed into distinct market-facing platforms.

U1 operating network

One parent identity. Multiple platforms and city assets.

U1.ca is the parent container for the complete portfolio. DowntownDirectories.com is the national operating platform for the professional-services network. DowntownDentists.com is the national dentistry layer, while each city domain remains a direct U1 asset with its own role, audience, and development path.

National operating platform

DowntownDirectories.com

A national platform connecting selected Canadian downtown markets, professional categories, and one recognized partner position per category. It is an operating system within the wider U1 portfolio—not the container for every U1 asset.

Downtown domains held beneath U1.ca.

Some domains participate in DowntownDirectories.com, while others can support separate city-specific platforms. Their ownership and strategic identity remain at the U1 level.

DowntownDirectories.com is the national operating layer for the current professional-services model. The city domains remain individual U1 holdings and are not limited to that single use.

Treasury

Selected digital holdings.

Each name is evaluated as a strategic identifier: clarity, scarcity, role fit, sequence value, jurisdiction, and the cost of replacement.

Parent and short-form assets

Category assets

Literal national names

Regional assets

Numeric geographic authority

The domains shown are not offered for sale. Licensing may be available for selected projects.

Selective licensing

Developed digital properties and premium domains.

Selected U1 holdings are available for licensing to suitable operators. Opportunities range from complete turnkey websites to category, geographic, and numeric domain assets.

Sovereign Stack

Two separated control planes. One namespace architecture.

The model separates a proposed public authoritative service class from a protected, policy-isolated service class. Recursive identities, administrative apexes, authoritative service identities, operational telemetry, and provisioning functions remain explicitly distinct.

Review the complete architecture →
Control Plane 1

dns0.ca

Proposed public authoritative service class using dns0.ca, ns1.ca–ns7.ca, ix1.ca–ix7.ca, r1.ca as a separate recursive identity, and ns9.ca as the hidden-primary identity.

Control Plane 2

dns9.ca

Proposed protected service class using dns9.ca, dns3.ca–dns8.ca, ixp3.ca–ixp8.ca, r9.ca as a separate recursive identity, and a private unnamed provisioning primary not shown publicly.

Conceptual architecture. This is a namespace and infrastructure reference model, not a deployed production DNS, resolver, registry, anycast, cloud, or telecommunications service. No affiliation with or endorsement from CIRA is implied or claimed.
Namespace0

A seven-layer infrastructure vocabulary.

“0-Layer” is U1’s internal classification for origin-level infrastructure naming. It is not an IETF protocol-layer designation.

Ordered sequences

Scarcity becomes structure.

Numbered holdings can define consistent service identities, node classes, control boundaries, and future deployment roles without implying that those systems are presently operational.
